Adjustment of Adopted Child as It Relates to Value Conflict
A child’s identity is multi-dimenstional and his/her development includes an appreciation for spcific values. An adopted child who has been abused or has experienced a loss of care-givers is more like to experience value conflicts. The objective is to share information and research related to the cause and treatment of value conflicts in children. The presentation will explore utilization and influence of belief systems and formation of identity and the growth process.
