Free – $800This is an eight session adoptive parent course that meets every Tuesday October 25-December 20 from 6:00-7:30 pm on Zoom.
Led and developed by transracial adoptees this course provides participants with in-depth knowledge AND the opportunity to move theory into practice. This course will examine:
- The HISTORY of race & adoption in the U.S.
- Our BIASES and HESITATIONS when talking about race & racism How to TALK about race & racism with your child(ren)
- The Struggle for IDENTITY of transracial adoptees
- The role race & racism play in your FAMILY and COMMUNITY
