Let’s Talk: Navigating the Holidays, November 19

The holidays are a stressful time for most of us. The stress of the holidays for the children who have joined our families via foster care or adoption can be compounded by feelings of divided loyalties and their grief and loss of being in care. How can you help them navigate through the holidays while minimizing the power struggles and behaviors that often accompany these times? How can you celebrate your own traditions while still honoring theirs?

Let’s Talk: Navigating the Holidays is a forum for foster and adoptive parents to come together to discuss the complications of the holidays, resources that can help, and to share tips and strategies that have worked. This discussion will be led by Peg Cadd, Resource Specialist at the Coalition for Children, Youth, and Families, and a veteran foster parent for over 40 years.

Join us Tuesday, November 19 at either Noon or 6pm!
