Wisconsin's Foster Care & Adoption Resource Center is a partnership among:
These organizations have come together to provide comprehensive support for foster and adoptive families and the professionals who serve them. The staff of this organization includes:
- Oriana Carey, Manager of Programs for ARW, based in Milwaukee
- Michael Heath, Lead Resource Specialist, also based in Milwaukee
- Barbara Brown, Resource Specialist, working out of Brown County
- Leahan Drone, Resource Specialist, working out of Eau Claire County
The Foster Care and Adoption Resource Center (FCARC) began in June 2005 as an important part of Governor Doyle's Kids First Initiative. An adoptive parent himself, Governor Doyle has always believed that foster and adoptive parents are a critical resource for Wisconsin and its children.
